Call for Abstracts

The International Lung Health Conference invites the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

Conference Theme

"From Detection to Recovery: Integrated Pathways and Patient-Centered Innovations for Lung Health."

The 2026 Conference will focus on end-to-end lung health, spanning:

The conference brings together nurses, clinicians, researchers, public health practitioners, policymakers, implementers, innovators, and postgraduate students working across TB, lung health, and health systems.

Important Notice

Authors of accepted abstracts must be registered conference delegates.

Acceptance of an abstract does not imply funding for travel or accommodation.

Only abstracts that comply with the guidelines below will be reviewed.

General Requirements

General Abstract Structure

All abstracts should include the following sections:

Abstract Categories

Authors must indicate one category and one thematic topic (e.g. Category 1 – Topic B).

Category 1: Scientific Research

(Case Studies included here)

Text Layout:
  • Background: Study objectives, research question, or problem statement.
  • Study Design / Methods: Setting, methodology, data sources, and analysis.
  • Results: Key findings with relevant statistics.
  • Conclusions and Recommendations: Implications for clinical practice, policy, research, or innovation.

Category 2: Public Health Practice & Programmatic Experience

Text Layout:
  • Background / Implementation Challenge: Context and challenges addressed.
  • Intervention / Response: Description of programme, innovation, integration model, or policy response.
  • Results and Lessons Learnt: Outcomes, impact, scalability, and transferability.
  • Conclusions and Key Recommendations: Implications for integrated lung health programming and health systems strengthening.

Thematic Topics for Abstract Submission

Abstracts must be submitted under one of the following topics:

A) Drug-Sensitive & Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis: Prevention, Case finding, Treatment and care
B) Post-TB Lung Disease and Long-Term Sequelae
C) Integrated TB, HIV, NCD and Primary Care Models
D) Neonatal and Early-Life Lung Conditions
E) Childhood and Adolescent Respiratory Diseases
F) Adult Respiratory Diseases (Asthma, COPD, ILD, etc.)
G) Lung Health, Climate Change, Air Pollution and Environmental Exposures
H) Emerging and Re-emerging Respiratory Infections (including COVID-19)
I) Innovations for Lung Health (Digital Health, AI, New Diagnostics & Technologies)
J) Strengthening Health Systems for Lung Health
K) Patient-Centered Care (including gender responsive interventions), Community Engagement and Equity in Lung Health

Submission Process

  • Abstracts must be submitted electronically via: Kislhcabstracts@resok.org
  • All submissions will be acknowledged.
  • Abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
  • Authors will receive acceptance or rejection notifications by April 30, 2026.
  • Selected abstracts may be considered for symposia, thematic oral sessions, or poster discussions, aligned with the scientific programme.
