• A public –private mix (PPM) TB care and prevention initiative (EQUALTIPS)
• Currently funded by USAID through CHS and the TB-ARC project/self-financing through sale of anti –TB drugs using a social business model
• Intended to enhance quality of TB care by private health care providers and to promote recording and reporting of TB cases by these providers

Community TB Prevention and Care project

• Intended to reduce treatment interruption and thus TB treatment success rate through community based approaches
• Also supports community TB case finding primarily through community based contact investigation
• Funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria ( GFATM or the Global Fund) through AMREF

Breath Easy

• An asthma quality of care enhancing project
• Includes the Asthma Care Improvement Project (ACIP) funded by GSK
• And the social business model that involves sale of asthma medicines

African Severe Asthma Research Project (ASAP)

• Broad aim is to characterize (phenotype) patients with severe asthma
• Clinical, spirometry, eosinophil count, helminthic infestation, HIV status and genetic analysis
