Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death worldwide. It’s a major public health concern and has severe economic impact particularly in sub Saharan Africa. Astrazeneca funded lung cancer projects for the year 2023/2024 all aimed at raising awareness and improving diagnostic capabilities. These activities funded include lung cancer symposium, expert lead webinars, diagnostic skills training, lung cancer outreach and a Lung cancer multidisciplinary expert’s discussion.
